Kvadra's collection Sleeping is Living at IMM Cologne 2012 published 2011-12-16
December, 2011 - Kvadra will be exhibiting its first design collection at IMM Cologne. From 16 to 22 January 2012, visit us at IMM’s Hall 06, stand A041, and see how we are transforming Sleeping into Living with Croatian design.
Kvadra is the first Croatian brand of upholstered furniture whose collection Sleeping is Living was designed by Croatian designers. The Croatian-Austrian design collective Numen/ForUse (Christoph Katzler, Sven Jonke, Nikola Radeljković) designed for Cappellini, ClassiCon, Desalto, Interlubke, Magis, MDF Italia, Moroso and Zanotta. In 2011 they started cooperating with Kvadra by designing the sofa Revolve in partnership with Ivana Borovnjak&Roberta Bratović. Multifunctional sofa Revolve unites seating and sleeping needs in a quite intelligent way. Thanks to its dynamic shape and dual function it can be used in home, offices and secondary residences.
3angle by Grupa (Filip Despot, Ivana Pavić, Tihana Taraba), young designers from Zagreb (Croatia), bring a different perspective to conventional sofa forms. 3angle's fragmented armrests resemble the line of a human arm folded in the elbow, thus creating almost a crystal form. It is a quite inviting and conivival haven for a relaxed and informal way of sitting.
Elegance, Nimble, Basic, Combo and Easy were created by Kvadra's in-house design team, emphasizing the positive character of the typology they belong to. All products from the collection are available in high-quality fabrics, leather, and different sizes. For more information, please visit the individual product Profiles.
